Aloysio de Alencar Pinto

Pianist, composer and folklorist, Aloysio de Alencar Pinto composed works for piano, voice and piano, choral singing, chamber music and for orchestra, in addition to incidental music for the theatre and cinema. He was honored with the Medal of the City of Paris and the Ruy Barbosa Medal from Fundação Casa de Ruy Barbosa. He took part of the Brazilian Academy of Music, where he held the chair of Ernesto Nazareth.
