Egberto Gismonti
A composer, arranger, instrumentalist and music producer, Egberto began his musical education the age of six at the Conservatório de Música de Nova Friburgo (Nova Friburgo Conservatory of Music). Later, he studied popular and folkloric music. He has mastered a variety of instruments and was one of the first Brazilian musicians to use synthesizers. He has written soundtracks and musical scores for cinema, theater, ballet, TV series and art exhibitions.
