Wellington Gomes
Graduated in Composition and Conducting and PhD in Composition at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), he was a disciple of Ernst Widmer and Jamary Oliveira. Furthermore he was a composer and professor at the UFBA School of Music, where he was also the director and served as a violist of OSUFBA. As a composer, he received several national and international awards. His works, written for different ensembles, have been performed in Brazil and in several countries such as Germany, Poland, Denmark, Italy and US.
