Alexandre Levy
Son of the owner of Casa Levy, which sold sheet music and pianos in São Paulo, Alexandre Levy was naturally inclined toward music. From an early age he showed a remarkable talent for the piano. He often used folk themes in his compositions, which is why he is considered a nationalist composer.
