D. Pedro I

Brazilian Emperor and King of Portugal, D. Pedro was a talented musician and composer. He has had, as music teachers, Marcos Portugal and Sigismund Neukomm. Among his works, the most prominent are the Brazilian Independence Anthem and the Constitutional Anthem - which became the Portuguese anthem.
