As a pianist, Dinorá performed in Brasil and several European capitals. She studied composition with Lamberdo Baldi and Camargo Guarnieri, and was the first woman to be chosen to join the Brazilian Music Academy. Founded an orchestra constituted merely by women, the Orquestra Feminina de São Paulo. Her works have been interpreted by great names such as Guiomar Novaes and Bidu Sayão.
