Pianist and composer, Vianna started to study piano at 8 years-old in his homeland, moving to Rio de Janeiro afterwards. In the 1920's, he begins to work as a composer and, at the request of Villa-Lobos, he composes a piece of music for the Modern Art Week. He was also conductor of the Paulistano Choir and professor at the National Institute of Music. Among his compositions, pieces for piano and voice stand out.
