Altamiro Carrilho

Virtuous flutist, he was one of the major names of the instrumental Brazilian music. During his almost 60-year career, Altamiro Carrilho released more than 100 albums and composed about 200 pieces of different genres. He won a lot of prizes for his dedication to the Brazilian music, including the Order of Cultural Merit from the Presidency of the Republic in 1998.
